Again, we are Going Forth in Love

I am convinced that a life without love is not really life at all and because of pain or because of fear there is so much love that is wasted.  Earl and I are getting ready to travel back to Georgia next week.  We will be there for two months!   Our highest aim is to glorify God by truly loving as He loves!

“To them that have no might He increases strength.”  The dictionary says that strength is “the necessary quality required to deal with stressful or painful situations.” May He take us out of our complaining and fill us with psalms of praise; for “the joy of the Lord is our strength.”  His words come back to me as I consider the next step in our ministry for Him:  “How do Georgians make good wine?”  Often when I feel the squeeze I remember and say, “Just don’t let them see the vessel, but only the Wine.”

So, we cast upon Him all of our burdens, our pain, and all of our cares as we consider that unless we keep our hearts right and pure, we will lose fellowship with our Lord and we will be crushed!  Jesus is our hope and our crown.  Serving Him is a delight when it is the fruit of our abiding in the Vine!

So, living in His faith and not allowing ourselves to live in fear, we obey His call and go forth!  We must go as we are compelled by His great love for people everywhere!  “Arms of love reaching around to world” mean to us that we must go and tell of the great things that He has done and will do if they believe and receive His incredible love for each one!

“Love divine, all loves excelling, joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us Thy humble dwelling; all Thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, Thou art all compassion, pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation; enter every trembling heart.

Come, Almighty to deliver, let us all Thy grace receive;
Suddenly return, and never, never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing, serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray, and praise Thee with-out ceasing, glory in Thy perfect love.”
